In honor of President’s Day…

              LINCOLN

We visited LINCOLN, a restaurant paying homage to our 16th President, for a site visit for an upcoming event. From the penny-tiled floor (over one million!) to portraits of Honest Abe, the restaurant is inspired by the 1860s with a modern ambiance. We think it’s perfectly Washington.

SPACE: Contemporary and traditional, warm and inviting. A neon backlit wall features famous quotes and next to it is a keenly lit dining room filled with comfortable and rustic tables and chairs.

DECOR: Far more chic than Lincoln’s log cabin, the walls are lined with pop art and graphic painted mirrors. Lights and candles in mason jars illuminate the space while the center white chair, inspired by the marble one less than a mile away, anchors the room.

FOOD + DRINKS: The menu features farm fresh plates including one of Lincoln’s favorites— oysters. Refreshing craft cocktails are classic and unique and featured in an antique copper cups.

Hello. Welcome to LCWorkshop.

At the core of every company is its heart, its purpose for existence, its prime motivation— its raison d’être. Ours is the moment. Moments are our passion. They are why we do what we do.

We don’t start off knowing what exactly the moment is going to look like or how it’s going to feel, but we know it will happen.  It always does.

We start by getting to the heart of our clients by understanding their brand, their message, and their goals. Then we bring in our team of master planners, producers, and brand stewards (a.k.a. moment creators) to craft the perfect event experience.

Sometimes the moment occurs when the music hits just the right high point. Or when every little detail falls into place as if the event could have happened no other way. Or when the speaker is so inspiring that I, choked up a bit, glance over to an attendee or a client with a big smile and a chill runs up my back.

It is during that second that I know we’ve delivered our promise: an event experience that motivated, educated, and amazed people.

And because I love moments, I’ve dedicated our blog to them. To the big and small inspirations that help us create momentous experiences for our clients each time, at every event.

Chief moment creator,

Michael
